Dr.Sureshini Sanders

What a fascinating talk from Dr Saunders who is originally from Ceylon now known as Sri Lanka. She has written a book called "The Land of the Lost Content" and it is about her family who came here in the sixties. Her Father being a Doctor of medicine arrived with only £3 in his pocket. She and her siblings were left in the care of their Grandparents but then - Civil War broke out !!! She told us how she felt arriving in cold miserable Scottish weather after the colour and warmth of Ceylon. She returned last year for the first time and now her proceeds from her book are going towards a school there, she recommends us to go to this beautiful country now before tourism gets really going and the prices rise, anyone up for it next year ??
