Meet & Greet

The 2015 Meet and Greet was as successful as ever with 68 members attending.  There are 5 new members this year, and I introduced them to the other members.   Our Committee also has 3 new members:  Irene Brydon, Margaret Taylor and Heather McLeish (Secretary).

After tea and delicious mini cakes, the business end of the meeting commenced.    All of the Club’s groups gave details of their meetings along with dates, and the usual sheets were placed on the table for names to be added. 

Sheets were out on all the tables for members to indicate where they would like to go for our May outing next year.   Anstruther/Fisheries Museum, New Lanark and Biggar Puppet Theatre were the 3 choices on offer.

It was suggested that we should mark our fifteenth anniversary by having a special lunch.    A sub-committee was set up to organise this event at some time during the season.

Our Christmas Lunch has been booked again at the Capital Hotel on Thursday,  3 December.

On 17 December, 28 of our members are going to Cinderella by Scottish Ballet at the Festival Theatre.

The ladies on the Committee look forward to seeing you at our meetings over the winter.
